Recently, Chrome have been paused its release to the public due to Coronavirus. The release was supposed to be roll out on last Tuesday as one of part of six-week update.
The main reason that the release is been paused is the staff is assigned to adjusted work schedules. The company has taken precautions among the employees working from around the world to be remotely from home.
Google have state that:
Our primary objectives are to ensure they continue to be stable, secure and work reliably for anyone who depends on them. We’ll continue to prioritize any updates related to security, which will be included in Chrome 80

Sean Wright, Security Researchers have said
This will likely only really affect users from a feature perspective. While not ideal, it is understandable. The main thing for users is that any security issues are addressed, which I hope Google would still be on top of
Being said above, this will only expose to danger to the user where the attacker will be targeting all the employee that advises working remotely from home due to the virus.
As a result, Google will need to keep the user on top security update and hoping to fix any bugs and vulnerabilities that appear within the browser so that the users can continue without worry a thing.
