In this post, I would like to share my prediction on CyberSecurity for the year 2020. The main point for the Year 2020 is related to Ransomware, Mobile Technology or Virus, Phishing attack, and Usage AI that will increase the security feedback.
I do aware that some people have their own thought on the prediction and this is solely from my point of view. Some people might disagree or agree with my information mention below.
In 2019, we have seen that a lot of businesses such as healthcare, government, banking, and other organization have been targeted by ransomware via the Ransomware attack method. The most well-known ransomware in 2019 are such as
- Bad Rabbit
As an awareness, the organization have taken action to ensure all the shareholder, employee and customer privacy should be protected from the attacker
Mobile Technology and Virus
In the first half of the year 2019, around 50% attack on Mobile Technology has increased compared to the previous year. The virus that mentioned here is related to malware where it will steal payment, mobile personnel data and mostly related to banking details. The attack is coming from scamming, social engineering and phishing where the attacker will ask the victims to click on the link that been provided to them.
Even though email is been considering as 1st attack vendor, recently phishing attack has envolved to SMS Messaging, Social Media Messaging, and gaming platform. The motive of the phishing is mostly for the attacker to gain details of the victims such as personnel information and banking details. As for the year 2020, I predict that the attack will be increasing and the people out there will need to gain awareness of the phishing attack.
Usage of AI
Nowadays, AI technology is a must for most organizations to have in their system where it will run as system detection. The organization will need to keep updating the latest threat into the system where AI cant traces the malicious attack manually. Aside from that, AI will detect the malicious within the second and will respond to the attack. As a result, it will reduce the time of blocking the malicious attack from spreading across the system or application environment
